Kathleen Janssens, Arch Tech
Interior Design Consultant
As a trained Architectural Technologist I started my design career working for an Architect and then continued on with the City of Edmonton in the Engineering field.
Passionate about helping clients realize their dream home, for the past 10 years I have been working with Design Build Firms designing and drawing new builds, infills, and renovating existing homes in Edmonton and surrounding areas. I enjoy working with kitchens and living rooms – the hub of the home. With my three children I have noticed a lot of time is spend in these areas just talking about your day.
As a designer I have a strong eye for good balance, practicality and functionality of interior and exterior spaces and I am passionate about all design aspects; specifically how a space functions and all the design elements work together. My specialty is taking a space and developing it into a 3-D rendering for my client so they can experience the “wow” moment and see the completed space before starting construction. I love taking a project from the first line of a drawing to the final build walk through.
My favorite design style is mid-century modern. As a designer it is a dream of mine to one day restore a mid-century property with a modern flair.
